Why Riders Want an App, Not Another Phone Call
Phone booking works, and our dispatch answers around the clock. But the people who ride with us most often aren’t booking one memorable trip a year. They’re booking the same airport run every other week, the same hotel-to-office transfer every Tuesday, the same late-night return from a dinner that ran long. For them, the friction isn’t the price or the vehicle. It’s repeating the same details to a dispatcher for the fortieth time.
That’s what the app solves. Your addresses are saved. Your vehicle preference is saved. Your last twenty trips are sitting there, ready to duplicate. A trip that takes four minutes to arrange by phone takes about twenty seconds by thumb, usually while you’re walking to a meeting or waiting for a bag.
There’s a second reason, and it matters more than people expect: a written record. Every booking lands in your trip list with the time, the vehicle, the pickup and the drop-off. When you’re expensing travel, reconciling a corporate account or just trying to remember which Thursday you took that car to Midway, the history is right there.
What You Can Do in the App
| Feature | What it means when you’re actually using it |
|---|---|
| Book any vehicle in the fleet | Sedan, SUV, Sprinter, stretch limo, party bus: the same fleet dispatch books, not a separate app-only subset |
| Schedule ahead | Book tonight’s 4 a.m. airport run before you go to bed, not at 3:40 a.m. hoping a car is free |
| See upcoming trips | Every reservation in one list, with time, vehicle and addresses |
| Review past journeys | A history you can check for expenses, or to remember a route |
| Rebook in one tap | Take the same trip again without re-entering anything |
| Reach the team from the app | Questions, changes and special requests without digging for a number |
| Manage changes | Flight moved, meeting ran long, guest count changed: tell us from the screen |
| Same rates as the website | No app-only surcharge and no surge pricing, ever |
Elevate Your Arrival, or Your Special Day
There’s a difference between getting somewhere and arriving somewhere. Most rides handle the first. The second is the reason chauffeured service exists, and it’s the part an algorithm can’t dispatch.
Better cars
Late-model, cleaned and inspected before every trip, in the class you actually selected. Mercedes-Benz S-Class and premium sedans for executive and VIP arrivals. Cadillac Escalade and premium SUVs for clients, families and luggage. Mercedes-Benz Sprinters for groups who need to stay together. Stretch limousines and party buses for the nights that are supposed to feel like an occasion. Bottled water, phone charging and the climate set before you open the door, every time. See the full fleet.
More professional chauffeurs
Our chauffeurs are employees of Royal Limo Services, not contractors who accepted a ping. Background-checked, licensed, drug-tested and trained in the parts of the job that aren’t driving: door service, luggage handling, route knowledge, timing and discretion.
A dress code, on every single trip
Suit, tie and polished shoes. No jeans, no casual wear, no exceptions, whether the trip is a wedding at the Drake or a 4:15 a.m. run to O’Hare. When your chauffeur steps out to open the door in front of a client, a venue or your future in-laws, how they look is part of how you look.
Top-notch, defined
| What “top notch” actually means | On the day |
|---|---|
| Early, not on time | The vehicle is staged before your window opens. You are never the one waiting |
| Door service | The chauffeur steps out, opens the door and handles the bags |
| Presentation | Suit and tie, polished shoes, a vehicle detailed that day |
| Discretion | Conversation if you want it, silence if you don’t |
| Preparation | Route, entrance, venue rules and parking worked out before pickup |
| One point of contact | Dispatch knows your name, your trip and your preferences at any hour |
The days worth booking this way
- Weddings — the couple, the party, and guest shuttles that run on a schedule instead of on hope
- Anniversaries, proposals and milestone birthdays — note the occasion when booking and the chauffeur will know before you arrive
- Prom and graduation — the photos happen at the curb, so the car and the chauffeur are in them
- Client and executive arrivals — the first impression starts before the meeting does
- VIP airport arrivals — met inside with a name sign, luggage handled, straight to the car
- Nights out and concerts — a guaranteed ride home in a car you chose
- Corporate hospitality — one vehicle, one chauffeur, one point of contact all day
And all of it books from the app. Choose the vehicle, add the occasion, note the stops, and the details reach your chauffeur before the day arrives. See wedding limo service and special occasion service.
Elevate your arrival. Download the app and book chauffeur service anytime. Better cars, professional chauffeurs in full dress code, no surge pricing, 24/7 dispatch.

Elevated Service, Booked From the App
Booking in an app usually means giving something up: you trade the phone call for speed, and the service becomes whatever the algorithm sends. Ours is built the other way around. Everything you would get by calling dispatch, you get by tapping. The app is the convenience layer on top of a chauffeured service, not a cheaper version of one.
| What you can request in the app | What arrives |
|---|---|
| Meet-and-greet arrival | Your chauffeur waits inside at baggage claim with a name sign and handles the luggage |
| A specific vehicle class | The class you selected, not a substitute: S-Class, Escalade, Sprinter or stretch |
| A chauffeur you’ve had before | Regular riders can request one by name, and dispatch assigns them when available |
| Car seats and accessibility needs | Installed and ready before pickup, not discovered at the curb |
| Multiple stops and wait time | Built into the reservation, with the chauffeur staying with the vehicle |
| As-directed hourly service | The vehicle is yours for the window; change the plan mid-day and simply tell the chauffeur |
| Quiet ride or conversation | Note it at booking. Discretion is part of the training, not a favor |
| Bottled water, phone charging, climate set before arrival | Standard in every vehicle |
| Guest and client bookings | Book for someone else; we coordinate directly with them on the day |
| Special occasions | Notes for anniversaries, proposals, birthdays and VIP arrivals go to the chauffeur before the trip |
What “elevated” means on the ground
- The chauffeur is early, not on time. Staged before your pickup window opens, so you are never the one waiting.
- Door service. The chauffeur gets out, opens the door and handles the luggage. Every trip, including the 4 a.m. one.
- Suit, tie and polished shoes, enforced. No jeans, no casual wear, no exceptions.
- A clean, inspected, late-model vehicle, not whatever was available.
- Discretion by default. Confidential calls happen in our back seats daily.
- Route knowledge, including which O’Hare door, which hotel entrance and which McCormick dock, so arrivals are smooth rather than circling.
- One dispatch team that knows your name, your account and your standing preferences.
The point: a tap gets you the same standard a phone call does. Most apps in this category are booking engines wrapped around whoever is nearby. Ours is a booking engine wrapped around our own chauffeurs, our own vehicles and our own dispatch. See the fleet and corporate car service.
How This Differs From the Rideshare App on Your Phone
This is the comparison most riders are actually making, so here it is plainly.
| Royal Limo Services app | Typical rideshare app | |
|---|---|---|
| Who drives | Our employed, background-checked, drug-tested chauffeurs, in a suit and tie | Whoever accepts the ping, in whatever they’re wearing |
| Vehicle | The specific class you booked, cleaned and inspected | Whatever arrives |
| Pricing | Quoted before you book, taxes and tolls included, no surge | Dynamic pricing that rises exactly when demand does |
| Advance booking | Scheduled and assigned to a chauffeur | A request that may or may not be accepted at the time |
| Airport pickup | Flight monitored, chauffeur staged, meet-and-greet available | You walk to a rideshare lot and wait |
| If a flight is delayed | Dispatch adjusts; the car is still there | Your ride cancels and you start over |
| Hourly service | Yes, the chauffeur stays with you | Not offered |
| Corporate billing | Monthly invoicing, cost-center coding, W-9 and COI on file | Card per ride |
| Accountability | A licensed, insured company with an office you can visit | A platform and an independent contractor |
The honest version: for a $12 ride across the Loop at 2 p.m., a rideshare app is fine and nobody needs a chauffeur. The difference shows up at 5 a.m. with a flight to catch, at the end of a client dinner that ran two hours long, when four executives and eight bags need one vehicle, or when a delayed flight lands at midnight and the surge multiplier has tripled. That’s when a scheduled car with a named chauffeur is worth what it costs.
If You Normally Open a Rideshare App
Most people book ground transportation the same way every time: open the app everyone has, accept whatever price appears, get in whatever car pulls up. It works often enough that the habit sticks. The trips where it doesn’t work are predictable, and they’re the ones that cost you the most.
The five trips where the habit breaks
| The situation | What usually happens | What a scheduled chauffeur does |
|---|---|---|
| 5 a.m. flight | Few drivers online, long wait, or a cancellation with no time to recover | Assigned the night before, chauffeur confirmed, car outside before your alarm |
| Delayed flight landing at midnight | Surge pricing at the worst possible hour, long queue at the rideshare lot | Flight tracked, pickup adjusted, same quoted rate, chauffeur already staged |
| Client in the car | Unknown driver, unknown vehicle condition, conversation you can’t control | Suit, tie, polished shoes, clean vehicle, professional silence unless spoken to |
| Snow, convention week or a holiday | Surge multiplier, scarce cars, unpredictable ETAs | Rate quoted in advance, no surge, vehicle committed to you |
| Six people and eight bags | Two cars, split group, one arrives late | One SUV or Sprinter, everyone together, luggage loaded by the chauffeur |
What a professional chauffeur is, exactly
The word gets used loosely, so here is what it means when you book through our app:
- An employee, not a contractor. Our chauffeurs work for Royal Limo Services. They’re background-checked, licensed, drug-tested and trained, and they answer to a dispatch team that answers to you.
- A dress code that is enforced on every trip. Suit, tie and polished shoes. No jeans, no casual wear, no exceptions, whether you’re going to a board meeting or to the airport at dawn.
- Trained in the job, not just the driving. Door service, luggage handling, route knowledge, discretion, and knowing when a passenger wants conversation and when they want silence.
- A named person assigned to your reservation, not the nearest available stranger. Dispatch knows who is on your trip and can reach them instantly.
- Accountable to a licensed, insured company with an office in Rosemont you can walk into, not a platform with a support form.
The cost question, answered honestly
A chauffeured vehicle costs more than a rideshare on an ordinary midday trip, and we’d rather say so than pretend otherwise. What’s worth knowing is that the gap narrows, and sometimes reverses, exactly when it matters:
- During surge, a rideshare fare can double or triple. Our rate does not move.
- For groups, two or three rideshare cars often cost more than one SUV or Sprinter, and the group arrives scattered.
- For a day of meetings, a series of separate rides with waiting between them usually costs more than hourly service, and you spend the day re-booking.
- For a missed flight, the math isn’t close. A car that doesn’t show costs more than the ride ever would have.
Our pricing is quoted before you book, with taxes and tolls included and a 20% gratuity on hourly bookings. Nothing is added afterward and nothing moves with demand. See Chicago limo prices.
You can keep both apps
Plenty of our regular riders still use a rideshare app for quick trips, and that’s sensible. The pattern we see is simple: rideshare for spontaneous short hops, Royal for anything scheduled, anything with luggage, anything with a client in the car and anything you can’t afford to have go wrong. Having our app on your phone means that choice takes one tap instead of a phone call you’ll put off making.
Who Uses the App Most
Frequent business travelers
The same O’Hare run, twice a month, at times that make phone calls inconvenient. Saved addresses, one-tap rebooking, and a trip history that matches an expense report.
Executive assistants booking for others
Multiple trips for multiple people, visible in one list, with dispatch reachable in the app when a schedule shifts. For assistants managing recurring travel, a corporate account with monthly billing usually sits behind it. See corporate car service.
Regular airport travelers
Anyone who flies out of O’Hare or Midway more than a few times a year and is tired of gambling on rideshare availability at 4:30 a.m.
Hotel guests and visitors
Downtown for three days with meetings across the city, who want one vehicle and one point of contact rather than a new app negotiation every morning.
Event and night-out riders
Weddings, concerts, games, dinners and celebrations, where the return ride is the part that usually goes wrong. Booked in advance, it doesn’t.
Families and group travelers
Car seats, luggage, a group that has to stay together. Requirements you can note when booking instead of discovering on the curb.
The Fleet, and Which Vehicle to Book
| Vehicle | Passengers | Luggage | Hourly rate | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Executive sedan | 1–3 | 2–3 bags | $110/hr | Airport runs, business travel, everyday point to point |
| Premium sedan | 1–3 | 2–3 bags | $170/hr | Client pickups, executive travel |
| Mercedes-Benz S-Class | 1–3 | 2–3 bags | $220/hr | VIP arrivals, board-level travel |
| Luxury SUV | 1–6 | 5–6 bags | $130/hr | Families, small groups, luggage-heavy trips |
| Premium SUV (Escalade class) | 1–6 | 5–6 bags | $150/hr | Executive groups, client hospitality |
| Stretch limousine | 8–12 | Limited | $195–$245/hr | Weddings, celebrations, nights out |
| Mercedes-Benz Sprinter | 12–14 | Large | $320/hr | Corporate groups, roadshows, airport groups |
| Party bus | Up to 20+ | Limited | $270/hr | Celebrations and group events |
Sedan or SUV? The deciding factor is almost always luggage, not headcount. Three people with three checked bags and carry-ons will be more comfortable in an SUV than a sedan, even though the sedan technically seats them.
When to go Sprinter: once you’re past six passengers, or past what an SUV’s cargo area holds. A Sprinter keeps a group together, which matters more than it sounds when a team is traveling to the same meeting from the same terminal.
What It Costs
No surge pricing, ever. Here’s how our pricing works, in plain terms:
- Hourly service with a 3-hour minimum. The chauffeur and vehicle stay with you for the booked window.
- A 20% gratuity is added to the hourly total.
- Taxes and tolls are included. No line items appearing after the ride.
- Point-to-point trips are quoted per trip. Call or book online for an exact figure.
- No surge multipliers on holidays, weather events, convention weeks or late nights.
| Vehicle | Hourly | 3-hour minimum | With 20% gratuity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Executive sedan | $110 | $330 | $396 |
| Luxury SUV | $130 | $390 | $468 |
| Premium SUV | $150 | $450 | $540 |
| Premium sedan | $170 | $510 | $612 |
| Mercedes-Benz S-Class | $220 | $660 | $792 |
| Stretch limousine | $195–$245 | $585–$735 | $702–$882 |
| Party bus | $270 | $810 | $972 |
| Mercedes-Benz Sprinter | $320 | $960 | $1,152 |
For a straightforward airport transfer, point-to-point pricing is usually the better fit, and that’s what most app bookings are. For a day of meetings, an evening out, a wedding or a roadshow, hourly is the right structure, because the vehicle stays with you and waiting time isn’t a meter you’re watching.
Airport Pickups: How They Actually Work
This is where a chauffeured service separates itself from an app that dispatches whoever is closest.
- You enter your flight number when booking.
- We monitor the flight. If it lands 90 minutes late, the pickup moves with it. You don’t call, and you’re not charged for a no-show that wasn’t yours.
- The chauffeur is staged before you land, not driving over after you text.
- You choose the meeting style: curbside at the assigned pickup area, or meet-and-greet inside with a name sign at baggage claim, which is what most first-time visitors and VIP arrivals prefer.
- Luggage is handled. The chauffeur loads it. That’s the job.
The Black Car Services advantage: our division, Black Car Services, keeps vehicles on site at O’Hare and Midway and staged near downtown, with the same chauffeurs and the same 24/7 dispatch. That’s why a Royal pickup doesn’t start with a car twenty minutes away. See O’Hare airport service and Midway airport service.
One App, Every Kind of Trip
Riders open the app for very different reasons, and the booking flow is the same for all of them:
| Trip | Usual vehicle | Book it as |
|---|---|---|
| Early-morning flight out of O’Hare | Sedan or SUV | Scheduled point to point |
| Late arrival at Midway with luggage | SUV | Point to point with flight number |
| A day of client meetings across the city | Premium sedan or SUV | Hourly, 3-hour minimum |
| Executive team arriving for a conference | Sprinter | Airport group transfer |
| Dinner downtown and a ride home | Sedan or S-Class | Round trip or hourly |
| Wedding party transport | Stretch limo or Sprinter | Hourly |
| Concert, game or night out | SUV, stretch or party bus | Hourly |
| Roadshow with multiple stops | Sprinter or SUV | Hourly, full day |
| Hotel-to-McCormick Place transfer | Sedan, SUV or Sprinter | Point to point or hourly |
| Long-distance run to Milwaukee or Indianapolis | Sedan, SUV or Sprinter | Quoted per trip |
If you’re unsure which structure fits, book it and tell dispatch what the day looks like. We’ll set it up the way that costs you less.
Scan and Download
Two QR codes sit on our homepage: one for the App Store, one for Google Play. Point your camera at the one that matches your phone, tap the link that appears, and the app installs. No searching, no typing, no wrong-app downloads.
| Step | iPhone | Android |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Open the Camera app | Open the Camera app, or Google Lens |
| 2 | Point it at the App Store code | Point it at the Google Play code |
| 3 | Tap the banner that appears | Tap the link that appears |
| 4 | Tap Get, then open the app | Tap Install, then open the app |
| 5 | Create your account with your name, phone and email, then book your first ride | |
Prefer to search? Look for Royal Limo Services in the App Store or Google Play. Prefer not to install anything? Book on this site or call (866) 811-0999 any hour. The app adds a channel; it never replaces one.
Where else you’ll see the code: on the vehicle, on your written quote and receipt, on our business cards, and at our Rosemont office. Scan it once, and your next ride is two taps away.
Booking Your First Ride in the App
| Step | What you do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Download from the App Store or Google Play, or scan the code on our homepage |
| 2 | Create an account with your name, phone and email |
| 3 | Enter pickup and drop-off, or pick from saved addresses |
| 4 | Choose your date, time and vehicle class |
| 5 | Add the details that matter: flight number, passenger count, luggage, car seats, stops, special requests |
| 6 | Confirm. The reservation appears in your upcoming trips, and dispatch has it immediately |
The fields worth filling in: flight number (so we track it), luggage count (so we size the vehicle), and anything unusual about the pickup — a gated entrance, a loading dock, a hotel with a specific rideshare door, a passenger who needs help with bags. Thirty seconds of detail at booking prevents the phone call later.
Changing or Canceling a Trip
Plans move. A meeting runs long, a flight is rescheduled, a guest count changes. Message the team through the app or call (866) 811-0999, and dispatch adjusts the reservation. We’d rather hear about a change early than have a chauffeur waiting at a curb you’ve already left. For cancellation terms, see our booking terms.
Corporate Accounts Work Through the App Too
For companies moving executives, clients and teams regularly, the app sits on top of a corporate account rather than replacing it:
- Monthly invoicing instead of a card charge per ride
- Cost-center coding so travel lands in the right budget
- Guest billing, where you book and pay for a client’s ride
- W-9, certificate of insurance and vendor forms provided on request
- Net terms for approved accounts
- One dispatch contact who knows your account
Executive assistants, travel managers and office managers get the fastest booking path plus the paperwork their finance team needs. See corporate car service in Chicago.
Where the App Books
Anywhere we operate, which is the entire Chicago metropolitan area and beyond:
- Airports: O’Hare, Midway, Gary and Milwaukee Mitchell, plus FBO and private terminal pickups
- Downtown Chicago: the Loop, River North, Streeterville, the West Loop, Gold Coast, Magnificent Mile
- Suburbs: Rosemont, Schaumburg, Naperville, Oak Brook, Northbrook, Deerfield, Lake Forest, Evanston, Elk Grove Village, Des Plaines, Arlington Heights, Hinsdale, Oak Lawn, Orland Park and the rest of the metro
- Venues: McCormick Place, Allstate Arena, the United Center, Soldier Field, Wintrust Arena, Navy Pier and downtown hotels
- Long distance: Milwaukee, Madison, Indianapolis, Detroit, St. Louis and other Midwest cities
What Riding With Royal Actually Looks Like
The app is the booking layer. What arrives is the part that matters.
- A dress code, enforced. Suit, tie and polished shoes on every trip. No jeans, no casual wear, no exceptions.
- Employed chauffeurs, not subcontracted drivers: background-checked, licensed, drug-tested and trained.
- Clean, inspected, late-model vehicles in the class you booked.
- 24/7 dispatch staffed by people, not a queue.
- Licensed and insured, with an office in Rosemont you can visit.
- Flight monitoring on every airport pickup.
- No surge pricing, on any date, in any weather.
Common Worries About Booking a Limo by App
“Will I actually get a chauffeur, or is this just a black car marketplace?”
Our own chauffeurs, in our own vehicles, dispatched by our own team. The app is our booking channel, not a broker.
“Is it more expensive to book in the app?”
No. Same rates as the phone and the website, with no app-only fee.
“What if I need to talk to someone?”
Message us in the app or call (866) 811-0999, 24 hours a day. The app adds a channel; it doesn’t remove one.
“Can I book for someone else?”
Yes. Enter the passenger’s name and phone at booking. Assistants do this constantly, and we’ll communicate with the passenger directly on the day.
“What if my plans change at the last minute?”
Tell dispatch as soon as you know. We reschedule trips daily; the earlier we hear, the easier it is.
Why Travelers Trust Royal Limo Services

| No surge pricing, taxes and tolls included | The number you’re quoted is the number you pay, in any weather, on any date |
| Corporate documentation on request | W-9, certificate of insurance and vendor forms for procurement teams |
| A real office you can visit | 5600 N River Rd, Suite 800, Rosemont, IL 60018, minutes from O’Hare |

The short version: every one of those lines is verifiable. Read the reviews, check the license, look up the award, call dispatch at any hour, or walk into the Rosemont office. Companies that can’t be checked are the ones worth worrying about.

Yes. Book sedans, SUVs, Sprinters, stretch limousines and party buses in a few taps, for now or scheduled in advance.
How do I download the app?

Is a limo app more expensive than rideshare?
On an ordinary midday trip, yes. During surge, for groups, or for a full day of meetings, chauffeured service is often the same or less, and the rate never moves with demand.
Do you charge more during snow, holidays or convention weeks?

Will the same chauffeur be assigned to my trip?
Your reservation is assigned to a specific chauffeur, and dispatch can reach them at any point. Regular riders can request a chauffeur they’ve had before.

What vehicles do you have for a special day?
Mercedes-Benz S-Class and premium sedans, Cadillac Escalade and premium SUVs, Mercedes-Benz Sprinters, stretch limousines and party buses.
Can I request meet-and-greet service in the app?
Yes. Your chauffeur meets you inside at baggage claim with a name sign and handles your luggage, or waits curbside at the assigned pickup area if you prefer.
Can I request the same chauffeur again?
Yes. Regular riders can request a chauffeur by name, and dispatch assigns them when available.

Can I add stops?
Yes. Add them when booking or tell dispatch, and we’ll build them into the reservation.
